Why: The Amazônia collection marks the culmination of a decade of work by photographer Salgado. Containing 5,000 unique photographic NFTs illustrating the photographer’s travels through the Amazon, the volume of work created by Salgado over the past decade required a five-month curation period. In keeping with Salgado’s strong support for environmental conservation, this collection will proudly host the newly merged Ethereum blockchain when it launches later this week.

Why: Multimedia artist Pol Kurucz is set to make another addition to his growing portfolio of works showcasing his singular high-level aesthetic. Venus Beach, her genesis drop on MakersPlace, depicts scenes with real-life models thriving in strange, alien worlds.

Why: In an effort to communicate divine thematic content with her distinct visual style, Sarah Zucker created Jackie Rex. The multi-edition NFT VideoPainting series bears Zucker’s signature flair – very reminiscent of Ringo Starr’s work on MS Paint from the early 2000s. To achieve this unique look, Zucker used a vintage Sony Video Painter and a combination of digital and analog processing to further age images.
