Brown County District Court
â¢ Kyle J. Grunenwald, St. Cloud, in Brown County District Court on July 19, was charged with a serious driving offense after an overturn contrary to public safety. The unconditional bond was set at $ 3,000; no deposit with conditions Tuesday.
According to the complaint, a Minnesota state patrol boat was heading south on TH 15 in Brown County at 10:28 p.m. on July 17 when a vehicle was seen crossing the fog line. A road check was carried out at TH 15 and CR 25 and the driver identified himself as Grunenwald, who stated that he was not a driver with a valid license due to a DWI and that ‘he had no ID with him.
Grunenwald then produced a Minnesota driver’s license which was canceled, which was contrary to public safety. He was stopped.
â¢ Two counts of fifth degree drug possession – not a small amount of marijuana and possession of petty drug paraphernalia were laid on July 20 against Hans C. Gunderson, 40, 607 Pfau St., Mankato. The unconditional bond was set at $ 30,000; $ 15,000 with conditions Tuesday.
According to the complaint, New Ulm Police were notified of a man who appeared to be unconscious or unconscious outside Nicklasson Athletic, 1217 S. Broadway at 8:55 am on July 17th. Sitting outside the store, Gunderson told police he was waiting for a friend to pick him up. Brown County Dispatch told police Gunderson had an active Brown County warrant and had been arrested and searched.
Items found on Gunderson included a glass pipe, a small transparent bag with a white crystalline substance, a transparent vile with a white crystalline substance, a small transparent bag with two white oval pills and five round blue pills.
The drug paraphernalia then tested positive for methamphetamine and methamphetamine residue. The pills have been identified as acetaminophen, ibuprofen and alprazolam, a schedule IV drug.
Two credit / check cards belonging to JB were also found on Gunderson. JB informed law enforcement that his wallet was stolen while at the Prairies Edge Casino on June 23, 2021. He accurately described the two credit / debit cards found on Gunderson.
